Maria L. Mercado

Maria L. Mercado, CEO manages a full time Real Estate Brokerage at Mercado Advance Realty, Inc. as well as Mercado Income Tax, Inc. She is a Wake Tech Community College 2022 graduate with an Associate in Applied Science degree for Accounting & Finance.

Maria was born in Michoacan, Mexico. She immigrated with her family to the US when she was 8 years old. She grew up in the Johnston County area and has called Clayton her home for over 40 years. With 28+ years experience as a real estate professional, Maria has vast knowledge of the Triangle’s market and beyond.

Throughout her career Maria has experienced many transitions; from raising her 4 children & then sending them off to college, to being able to enjoy her 11 grandchildren now as an empty nester along with her husband of 36 years and counting. As a family, they enjoy traveling both abroad and within the states.

LISA MARIE ZAVALA

Lisa Marie Zavala is a mom, REALTOR and social entrepreneur. She is a North Carolina State University 2015 graduate with two Bachelor’s degrees; International Studies of Latin America & Anthropology. She also graduated with a minor in Non-profit Studies.

Lisa Marie worked as a K-8 Spanish Teacher, prior to obtaining her Real Estate License. She is a self-published author, illustrator, and the executive director of Together We Dream, Inc. a nonprofit organization whose efforts are geared toward educational equity & inclusion, specifically diverse representation in children’s literature. She is the owner of NC GRT gardens, rivers and trials, an outdoor space that hosts seasonal Pop-Up Markets & events in Dunn, NC.

Her hopes are that a career in Real Estate will allow all of her clients to gain greater financial independence & build generational wealth. She is a dedicated wife & mom who can often be found exploring the marvels of nature with her loved ones.
